Data Specification and Vocabularies Framework Elluminate Online Sessions
As previously mentioned at the Stage 2 Start-up Meeting on 20th January, we would like to invite representatives of your project to one or both of two Elluminate sessions to discuss the XCRI-CAP Data Definitions and Vocabularies Framework documents. These sessions are an additional opportunity to comment on these documents and discuss their implications for your projects, so that we can arrive at a community consensus. The sessions are aimed at those who are involved in decisions about data and information content, so there is likely to be some technical content.
15th February 2012 - 2pm-4pm (Participant Link - https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?sid=2009077&password=M.D8D12680DE2EE6D45FF1F03D41C958).
14th March 2012 - 2pm-4pm (Participant Link - https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?sid=2009077&password=M.C1BE0E1E12939597ACAAC9EB6AE875).
These two documents are intended to guide all projects on how to supply data content in XCRI-CAP 1.2 instances for the Course Data Programme - different clusters may have slightly different requirements within the overall specification (for example they may use different vocabularies in some areas). We envisage that they will also be used by wider communities of practice.
- Data Definitions - this will define how each element is used, parent and child elements, applicable attributes and standard format of the contents.
- Vocabularies Framework - this is guidance on how a vocabulary should be published and maintained to make it accessible and keep it relevant to all those who might want to use it.
