It's looking like there might be possibilities for linking the Learning Resources Metadata Initiative (LRMI) and XCRI-CAP, in some way. LRMI is part of the schema.org initiative. Its primary focus is on learning resources rather than on course advertising. However, as Phil Barker has pointed out in a recent email, mapping between XCRI-CAP and LRMI / schema.org entities might be possible.

I'd be interested in other people's views on the practical implications (if any) of LRMI/schema.org on XCRI-CAP implementations. I feel that there ought to be some practical link-up, but the LRMI stuff seems a bit too over-arching and general to be directly useful for course discovery with the granularity that we use in XCRI-CAP.

Maybe it's something we can look at during next week's developer days in London and Leeds.
